Job Description
East-West is seeking a servant-hearted, professional, staff accountant to support the Financial Services and Accounting teams at East-West. This individual will assist with day-to-day accounting responsibilities, and provide project management as needs arise. The staff accountant will exhibit strong judgment and initiative, prioritization, execution, and communication, all while managing a diverse workload with excellence.

Areas of Responsibility
- General ledger responsibilities, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts
- Cash management, including monthly wire and back transfers, petty cash process, and other relevant journal entries
- Reporting and analysis of budget compliance, financial data, annual audit details, etc.
- Review and process of expense reports, vendor payables, issue checks, etc.
- Data entry into the payroll system, processing 401(k) funding, and providing backup support for the Accounts Payable Specialist
- Project management as needs arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, preferred
- 2-3 years minimum experience working in accounting, preferably in a ministry/nonprofit setting
- Experience with Sage Intacct, SAP Concur, Salesforce, MPX, highly desired
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to complete tasks on time
- Detail-oriented and precise
- Flexible, focused, organized, and proficient in prioritization
- Discerning of confidentiality and privacy
- Servant-hearted, team player
