The Director of Next Generation Mobilization will work with the Director of Next Generation Missions in providing leadership, direction, and strategy to mobilize North American high school students, college students, and young adults on NEXT Teams STMTs. Primary responsibilities for this role include the recruitment, development, training, and ongoing support of NEXT Teams Mission Leaders (Staff and AML’s) and Priority Group Leaders (Leaders of repeat groups on NEXT Teams) as well as the coordination of Regional Information Lunches (RIL’s). They will serve as the primary point of contact with National Partners regarding NEXT Teams as well as East-West Mobilizers. They will also personally mobilize and lead effective NEXT Teams STMTs and provide post-trip training and coaching for students to continue on mission at home. This position is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of East-West and for ensuring that all position duties and responsibilities are clearly aligned with East-West Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and Biblical principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage the activity whereby churches and individuals are mobilized for participation in NEXT Teams STMTs.
- Focus on going “broader and deeper” with new and existing church partners within a targeted geographic area and within your network of contacts.
- Initiate and manage marketing campaigns, including digital, in-person events
- Maintain ongoing relationship with Priority Groups for partner retention
- Cultivate and manage communication with East-West Mobilizers
- Communicate with NEXT Teams National Partners regarding trip logistics
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Next Gen Discipleship to rally Active Participants in our Mission post-STMT.
- Develop and Implement ongoing Associate Mission Leader (AML) strategy
- Lead / Coordinate 4-5 NEXT Teams a year to the field
- Assist Director of Next Generation Missions in projects and planning as requested
- Attend meetings, retreats and conferences as requested
- Develop and maintain network of personal support
- Lead, attend, and/or contribute to East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities such as ReGathering, Chapel, prayer times, corporate devotionals, and perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
- High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
- Faithful member of a local church
- Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
- Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus, preferred
- BA degree preferred
- Trained biblically and theologically
- Experienced in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to travel overseas at least 4 weeks a year
- Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
- Ability to learn languages, preferred
- Demonstrates teaching, leadership, and shepherding skills
- Strong initiative, motivation, and ability to complete tasks on time
- Ability to respond with clear thinking during stressful situations
- Demonstrates strong personal evangelism skills and passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ
- Demonstrates strong discipleship skills, preferred

- Experienced in leading cross-cultural short-term mission teams

- Sales or Development experience, preferred
