To inspire people to passionately worship God by creating atmospheres where they will experience His power and presence.
The Worship Pastor is responsible for the heart, quality, and execution of the portion of all services called worship. This role is the leader of all things worship, including Next Gen. While the Weekend Worship is hands-on, the Next Gen portion of this role is accomplished through encouraging, equipping and empowering up and coming leaders and musicians. While the largest portion of this role is about craft and talent, this role also consists of leading teams and shepherding people.
Job Requirements
- Prepare and execute worship sets with a high level of excellence – Weekend services, Midweek & NextGen Worship Services, as well as other special events as required and presented.
- Ensure worship team is equipped & prepared to minister.
- Cultivate talent & character for all worship platforms.
- Lead ministry moments with congregation when necessary from platform.
- Lead ministry moments with team every weekend on rotation.
- Connect with congregation when possible in lobby and throughout weekend experiences.
- Create a “worship brand”as a way of reaching this generation with the gospel.
- Work alongsideSoma Staff and leadership to encourage and equip The Body.
- Provide pastoral care and meet with, encourage and minister to worship team members.
