Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Assist in the administration, selection, employment, discipline, and discharge of all personnel in accordance with administrative policy.
Prepare and help coordinate training for new and existing employees.
Provide support/backup to Supervisor to maintain associate time cards and submit payroll to HR, and other employment records as necessary.
Assists with the functions of the business office including assisting with marketing functions, conducting community tours, billing, accounts receivable and payable processing, and making bank deposits, as necessary.
Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the community.
Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist as necessary during business hours.
Promote a positive and efficient work atmosphere by assisting in establishing an organization, which has a formal system of accountability and a clear chain of command.
Act professionally and honestly at all times in the representation of the Community concept of senior living.
Pursue a personal program of continuing education in all relevant aspects of the senior living industry as determined appropriate by management.
Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the Community.
Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Health Care, Business Administration or a health-related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferably in senior living, administration, or human resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
- Ability to perform duties with consideration for residents’ rights at all times and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and in handling their health information.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Punctual and Flexible.
