Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

 Assist in the administration, selection, employment, discipline, and discharge of all personnel in accordance with administrative policy.
 Prepare and help coordinate training for new and existing employees.
 Provide support/backup to Supervisor to maintain associate time cards and submit payroll to HR, and other employment records as necessary.
 Assists with the functions of the business office including assisting with marketing functions, conducting community tours, billing, accounts receivable and payable processing, and making bank deposits, as necessary.
 Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the community.
 Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist as necessary during business hours.
 Promote a positive and efficient work atmosphere by assisting in establishing an organization, which has a formal system of accountability and a clear chain of command.
 Act professionally and honestly at all times in the representation of the Community concept of senior living.
 Pursue a personal program of continuing education in all relevant aspects of the senior living industry as determined appropriate by management.
 Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the Community.
 Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
 Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Health Care, Business Administration or a health-related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience preferably in senior living, administration, or human resources.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Ability to perform duties with consideration for residents’ rights at all times and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and in handling their health information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Punctual and Flexible.
