- Job Description
The Associate Director of Graphic Design fully supports the Creative Department under the Director of Creative Arts. This position must have knowledge of graphic design and display excellence in their work.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Graphic Design (85%)
- Work with Director of Creative Arts to support creative, communication, and marketing objectives, discuss creative direction and ensure HighRidge brand consistency
- Develop the look and feel for assets that effectively communicate our ideas, brand, and value proposition and meet design specifications best practices
- Design print and web pieces, marketing and communication materials, service content, social content, email graphics, and web art using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Must have a keen eye for detail, be quick to apply existing branding, and be able to write/edit as needed
- Liaison for all vendors
- Places all print and design orders
Misc. Administrative Duties (15%)
- Assist Director in additional duties as needed and assigned
- Track all creative assets and projects, provide updates in oversight meetings
- Resource and train campus staff and volunteers in relevant design areas
- Providing frequent, consistent communication, updating applicable departments on project progress
- Other duties as assigned
- Qualifications
- Above all, you must understand, believe in, and support the vision and mission of HighRidge Church, and desire to serve the Lord
- Energetic, confident, organized, and motivated
- Possess strong graphic design skills with 2-5 years of related graphic design, marketing communications, and/or social media experience with an in-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Knowledge of current design trends and practices for print and digital applications
- Understanding of print and digital production specifications and requirements for asset delivery
- Attention to detail, customer service orientation, and creative problem-solving skills
- Good written and communication skills, and excellent ability to work happily with other departments and teammates
- Knowledge of web management and website development using WordPress platform preferred (but not required)
- *BONUS* Video and photo editing in Adobe After Effects and Premiere (not required)
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- Physical requirements
- This position requires sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 20-50 pounds or more as needed to fulfill job duties and requirements
