The Compensation and Benefits Administrator will provide professional human resources expertise in compensation and benefits administration, execution, compliance and data management. In addition, the Administrator will provide support for various HR functions: 401k administration, employee onboarding, deployment approvals, insurance billing and reconciliation, and payroll policies and procedures.
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Location: Plano, TX Headquarters
Benefits: This is a full-time position with employer-paid benefits such as medical, 401k match, and paid time off.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Compensation administration of payroll data and files, research, missionary account balances, and minister payroll tax benefits.
- Benefits administration and compliance of benefit changes, open enrollment sessions, 401k, COBRA, ACA, and track FLSA, FMLA, time, and attendance.
- Assist onboarding staff regarding East-West systems, benefits, time-off, timesheets, and payroll procedures.
- Data administration for personnel information, files, and serve as HRIS data administrator.
- Review and reconcile insurance invoices, prepare a request for payment, and submit to Financial Services.
- Complete annual compliance audits, and reporting.
- Work in concert with HR Department to evaluate, monitor, and revise policies and procedures.
- Proactively stay abreast of compliance matters and new developments in payroll law through continuous education, training, and association participation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in HR or Business preferred.
- Experience with a reputable payroll or HRIS vendor preferred.
- Knowledge of multi-state unemployment and multi-state income tax preferred.
- 1-3 years minimum experience working in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to balance a relational touch with information.
- Ability to assess, improve and/or streamline processes to increase efficiency.
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus.
- Ability to be respectful and discerning of confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and against deadlines.
- Flexibility, focus, and a strong work ethic are essential.
