SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of employees in the communications department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership:
-
Coordinate all activities in the prayer center as directed by management.

Develop professionalism, efficiency, and the right attitude within the department, emphasizing to each prayer partner that this is the goal of the department.

Lead as a professional, by example, through appearance, dress, attendance, and punctuality.
-
Assist prayer partners through instruction, encouragement, and correction when needed.
-
Observe and monitor prayer partner assignments and phones.
-
Delegate assignments to team leaders/prayer partners.
-
Reinforce chain of command in leadership.
-
Ensure safety and security of department.
-
Work overtime as needed.
Communication:
-
Assign staff to check voicemail daily.
-
Update staff on changes in procedures, programs, and all other areas of the department.

Distribute Whats Happening scripts.
-
Answer questions of team leaders, prayer partners, callers, and donors.
-
Review mistakes and errors with prayer partners by using on the job training techniques to help them minimize mistakes.
-
Document disciplinary actions.
-
Supervise, advise, and work closely with trainer concerning individual prayer partners ongoing training.
-
Place new prayer partners after training is complete.
-
Exercise good listening skills and sound judgement.
-
Assist communications department management in instructing prayer partners in the function of the phones and computers when requested.

Assist communications manager with balancing timesheets.
Supervisory:
-
Directly supervise up to 34 employees in the communications department.
-
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws; including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining of employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to co-workers.
REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers, and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s.
