Family Legacy Missions International is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Art Director to lead the marketing and communications team in Dallas and execute on the ministry’s goals and strategic plan. What You’ll Be Doing:
Under the leadership of the VP, Brand and Engagement, the Art Director will develop and execute the brand strategy by delivering compelling messages across channels. There will be significant collaboration with our marketing team in Zambia, as well as our Sponsorship, Development, and Community Engagement teams and outside vendors. The Brand and Communications Manager oversees one direct report in the Dallas office and supports and encourages Zambia based marketing colleagues to curate high-quality content.
- Represent Family Legacy in a positive, pleasant manner by providing excellent customer service at all times. Serve as a role model and adheres to Standards of Behaviors. Handle requests and concerns in a friendly, fair and impartial manner. Support the Ministry’s mission, vision and values.
- Design, plan, and execute effective marketing in line with the global-national- brand and communication strategy and measure campaign effectiveness and ROI. Manage campaigns for regional communication plans. Ensure consistent, relevant, and powerful execution of global brand messaging across markets.
- Act as a brand steward, having a deep knowledge of the brand architecture, positioning, and guest targets, and applying this consistently across all marketing activities.
- Manage efforts of cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts, brand and communications creative requests with overall business activities.
- Develop guidelines for packaging designs and advertising materials and cooperate with graphic designers and external agencies in their implementation.
- Serve as the project manager for brand and communications team: ensure deadlines are met, keep projects up to date in software, communicate with team.
- Work collaboratively with departmental stakeholders, designers, contractors, and communications manager to ensure that all projects are accurate, effective, and developed on time.
- Provide direction and support to internal creative teams and external contractors in the development of creative projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project reports and budget management, to inform the VP, Brand and Engagement of overall workload, team bandwidth, and potential issues.
- Look for improvement opportunities within the creative development process.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (marketing or advertising)
- Five (5) years of professional experience in graphic design, art director, or creative director
- Requires demonstrated understanding and strong portfolio of graphic design, art direction, photography, video, multimedia production, and web communication
- Manage relationships with internal, international, and third-party vendors and resources
- Knowledge of marketing, creative, and design processes
- Experience with creative development related to websites and apps
- Experience with social media branding (content development and creative review)
- Exceptional servant leader with expert time management, project management, and organizational skills
- Experience working with graphic designers and production teams
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple and changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to focus on big picture, execution of projects, and manage multiple deadlines
- Ministry experience in a developing country or prior mission trip experience is a plus
- Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Always operates with a high level of confidentiality, trust, and candor
- Strong interpersonal and human relation skills, incorporates feedback, gives and takes direction well
- Team player who interacts with diplomacy and tact amid influential constituents and diverse groups
- Passion for and cultural sensitivity to working with students and caregivers in developing nation
- An abiding relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with our Statement of Faith
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
