Attendant – Part Time, Flexible 224 views

Job Description

Seeking a big sis 18 years or older to work with my 22 year old special needs daughter Megan. She is hearing impaired (nearly deaf in her right ear), and has severe spinal and other medical issues.
The program is called Home and Community-based Services (HCS) from Texas Health and Human Services. The position is employment with a company that reports to the State of Texas. The position is considered an “Attendant” and it includes driving her to shopping, special events, concerts, Six Flags, and possibly other appointments. Her attendants in the past have taken her to fun special events, concerts, movies and all kinds of places.
Some things for this position need to be done in our home. Help with laundry, helping prep meals, organize her room & Tiny House, watch a movie, go with her to walk her dog and other activities.
This is a flexible position with no set schedule or hours. The schedule is set by Megan in advance to plan out upcoming events. The perfect person to work with Megan would be like a “big sis” who she can relate to & enjoy similar activities together.
