Summer Program Specialist Internship Timeframe: Summer 2022

Description:
The Summer Program Specialist will work alongside the Director and Community Outreach
Coordinator with program outlines, materials and help organize logistics for program sites in DFW.
We are committed to help fight food insecurity and utilize initiatives such as the Summer Feeding
Program to help provide meals while mentoring at-risk children in DFW.
Responsibilities:
● Assist Director and Community Outreach Coordinator with program administrative duties
● Assist with marketing materials for program recruitment (volunteer and attendee
recruitment)
● Communicate with program site support staff to collect impact stories
● Assist with site monitoring to ensure meal service requirements are met
● Assist with maintaining records and files for program
● Assist program site support staff with program compliance and regulations
● Assist with program details (i.e. activities) for program sites
● Assist with daily communication to Director in reference to meal adjustments and site needs
● Debrief weekly with the Director and Community Outreach Coordinator (program site
observations, needs and activities) to ensure all aspects of the program run smoothly
● Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
● Interested in non-profit/ ministry to include working with at-risk children
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
● Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar and Drive for storage)
● Energetic and personable with dependable transportation in DFW
Schedule:
● Average of 25 hours a week (combination of office and remote work)
● June 1- August 1 (will determine schedule that is conducive to your schedule and our
organizational needs)
