Full-time Position

Unite Life is a fast-growing 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is focused on giving every person an opportunity to connect to a healthy Christian community. Our technology platform allows trusted partners to reach seekers online in both open and closed countries, giving new believers the ability to connect to a church on the ground in their region of the world. The organization is experiencing tremendous growth and is seeking a Director of Fund Development who is a team player, detail-oriented, and willing to take on a variety of tasks depending on the needs of the organization. The Director of Development will guide the organization’s development efforts, goals, and relationships forward for maximum impact. 

THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Director of Fund Development, you will be responsible for driving the organization forward by managing various internal and external relationships and projects relating to generating and closing fundraising solicitations.

The Director of Fund Development position combines strategy, operation, project and process management, and execution skill sets in a highly challenging and high-performing work environment.  The ideal candidate has a strong development background and is resourceful, relational, collaborative, and outcome-oriented with strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.  

SCOPE

  • Work with the President and VP of Development to establish a strategic fundraising plan 
  • Work with the VP of Development to identify new prospective donors moving them through key touch points towards solicitation
  • Help formulate, implement, and lead development strategies to cultivate and secure major gifts
  • Work within the CRM for donor management, revenue pipeline projections, reporting, and development of collateral/tools
  • Create and implement annual and quarterly development plans focused on expanding and enhancing relationships with donors
  • Coordinate with senior leadership to create and improve internal processes and communications
  • Work with the VP of Development to formulate an immediate portfolio of prospects to start calling on
  • Participate in weekly/monthly meetings to provide vision, leadership, objectives, and overall reporting on goals
  • Develop and present funding proposals to prospective donors
  • Meet with the VP of Development to set goals for personal portfolio and report on the following metrics of the portfolio (Face-to-face meetings and virtual/phone calls). Goals to be determined within the first 30 days.

  • Assist the President and VP of Development with fundraising efforts such as upcoming donor meetings, events, and key networks to collaborate with.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A passion for Jesus and fulfilling the Great Commission
  • A committed Christian regularly attending a Christian congregation with a compatible theology to Unite Life
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of related development experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proven success in meeting individual development/revenue goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and social skills
  • Desire to serve others
  • Discerning ability to recognize salient fundraising opportunities that “move the needle”
  • High level of attention to detail and extremely well-organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to distill important and complex concepts for an executive audience
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across an organization and influence others
