Daystar is looking for a Bookstore Clerk/Coffee Shop Barista to work at the Headquarters Office in Bedford, Texas.
The Bookstore Clerk performs various clerical duties related to the Bookstore and Coffee Shop area, interacting with customers daily, including responsibilities as Barista, preparing, and serving specialty coffee, other beverages, and select food items. Provides excellent customer service.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Present a friendly welcome to internal and external customers
Answer guest’s questions, efficiently checking out guests and collecting a form of payment for charges incurred, ensure purchased items are neatly wrapped. Currency must be handled accurately and efficiently
Brew coffee, prepare drinks (smoothies, specialty coffee) for customers
Maintain and ensure the coffee shop area is stocked with all supplies, syrups, teas, coffee, sugars, etc.

Ensure all areas of the Bookstore must be neat and clean
Bake cookies daily; Store groceries in refrigerator upon arrival
Cut bread and wrap Danish to store in freezer upon arrival
Package all nuts, seal and tag for sale.
Ring up sales and enter a variety of product in the inventory as it arrives
Maintain accurate inventory on all product
Create inventory lists on Excel for Refreshing Times Conference
Refill product on display as needed.
Ensure the storage room is organized
Cut bread and wrap Danish to store in freezer upon arrival
Package all nuts, seal and tag for sale.
Ring up sales and enter a variety of product in the inventory as it arrives
Maintain accurate inventory on all product
Create inventory lists on Excel for Refreshing Times Conference
Refill product on display as needed.
Ensure the storage room is organized
Provide list of supplies needed to supervisor
Process special order/credit card orders and assure these get shipped immediately.
Comply with Health Department guidelines (training and certification is required)
Assists on other various tasks (within scope of work) as may be required.
Provides excellent customer service

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High School Diploma Required
1-2 years Barista experience and/or related field
Ability to multitask, demonstrate commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the scope of this position.
