This position creates financial transactions and generates reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting software from such source documents as donations from partners, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Bookkeeper will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer providing clerical and administrative support to management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Not everyone can be a Bookkeeper. To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following:
- At least three years experience working with Quickbooks within an accounting role
- Preferred Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
- Detail-oriented
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Embrace Grace Bookkeeper, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable – paying invoices, entering and paying bills, payroll processing
- Accounts Receivable- invoices for material orders, processing payments and donations, entering and reconciling deposits sent by credit card merchant account, enter data on spreadsheets
- Bank Statements- reconciling bank statements, credit card statements
- Financial Summary and Budget- enter all financial data and submit financial summaries, P&L, and Balance Sheet on the 15th of each month
- Quickbooks – Reviewing Sales Receipts, Invoices, Donations, Deposits
- Salesforce – review new tasks, creating new leads and converting as donors, reviewing purchase orders from Shopify, reporting, calling for open/ past due invoices
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
- Reconciling expense reports and receipts
- Prepare and meet with CPA for tax returns
- Provide designated reports to management as scheduled
