Job Description

Plan, develop, conduct, and document activities designed to enrich and enhance life for residents of a skilled nursing facility in Benbrook (SW of Fort Worth). Collaboration with other staff is necessary to ensure these programs meet applicable federal and state regulations and are safe and appropriate for seniors. A creative, outgoing, and encouraging personality is highly desired! This person must possess current certification as an Activities Professional in the state of Texas. Competitive salary DOE.

Job Requirements

  1. Coordinate recreational activities, including games, movies, and parties.
  2. Thoroughly assess and document residents’ needs and wishes regarding life enrichment.
  3. Adapt activities based on residents’ physical and cognitive abilities/limits.
  4. Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with residents, staff, and visitors.
  5. Abide by State & Federal regulations and corporate policies regarding time & attendance, drug screening, Residents’ Rights, budget, and more.

Benbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation is the only skilled nursing facility in Benbrook, a small town in Tarrant County southwest of Fort Worth. We are a fully licensed 120 bed facility offering long term care to Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay residents. We have an in-house dialysis clinic and fully-staffed therapy gym where those who need it can receive PT, OT, and Speech Therapy. We are ranked a 4-star (out of 5) facility by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
